About IllScarlett
IllScarlett formed in 2001 in Mississauga, Ontario, combining rock, reggae, ska, and pop punk into a fresh, high-energy sound often compared to Sublime. Their big break came in 2004 when they set up a generator and played for fans waiting outside the Vans Warped Tour in Barrie, catching the ear of tour founder Kevin Lyman, who soon after added them to Warped dates.
The band’s 2007 album All Day With It went Gold in Canada and launched the hit single “Nothing Special”, which reached #1 on the MuchMusic Countdown and earned heavy rotation on Canadian radio. Other singles like “Who’s Got It?”, “Life of a Soldier”, and “Milkshakes & Razorblades” solidified their reputation as one of Canada’s most exciting alternative acts.
Over the years, IllScarlett has shared stages with bands such as Billy Talent, Rise Against, State of Shock, and Cypress Hill, while touring extensively across North America, Europe, and Asia. Their discography includes five full-length albums—iLLP (2004), Clearly in Another Fine Mess (2005), All Day With It (2007), 1UP! (2009), and illScarlett (2014)—each expanding their sound while keeping their reggae-punk roots intact.
