About Music For Mental Health Canada
Starting during the pandemic, when mental health for people all over the world was at an all time low, and music events and shows were all cancelled… we realized the power music and live music events have to heal. Music For Mental Health Canada was founded by a young musician who started playing live shows for in the park behind her house during the pandemic for neighbours to hear. It grew to online, and built awareness for the cause with hundreds of thousands of views. Rock the Halls in Waterloo, ON was the first large project where 8 local bands all filmed live performances with the support of local sound and video crews (and strict safety protocols). The pre-recorded online concert earned over $5000 in donations for the Canadian Mental Health Association. Music For Mental Health have run many smaller live and online shows featuring extraordinary talent and raising money and awareness for mental health in Canada. www.musicformentalhealthcanada.com
